Airbrush Self Tanner

Buying A Good Airbrush Self Tanner Offers Many AdvantagesNowadays getting a great tan is as easy as one, two and three, thanks to the presence of an airbrush self tanner. There are many airbrush self tanner products available for the avid tan fan to get even the darkest tan, without a minute spent in the sun. After all, the sun is no helper to go to for a tan any more.

Should you be looking for a great airbrush self tanner this summer, one need not look any further than your local beauty store. Here you will find many airbrush self tanner products offering the option of a great tan. All you have to do is decide on how tanned you want to look this season.

Individuals have the choice of going to a salon for their tan or getting it with an airbrush self tanner in the privacy of their home. For those who prefer to stay at home to do this, there are many choices. Airbrush self tanner products offer different tones of tan and once again, all you have to do is choose your tone.

For those who are just setting out with using a airbrush self tanner, it may be an idea to stick with a tone that is two tones darker than your natural tan tone. For those who are a little braver and wish to be darker than that, a second application of airbrush self tanner might be necessary in order to go darker. Remember only to apply the second layer, after the first one has taken complete effect. One will not be able to see just how dark the tan is for up to 8 hours after application of the lotion.

Something else to keep in mind when applying airbrush self tanner is that one must exfoliate before applying the tanning product. This is necessary, in order to remove any dry skin from the top layer. Exfoliation will expose new skin to the airbrush self tanner, which means that the tan will last for up to 6 days before the top layer of skin dries and begins to flake off naturally.

When applying airbrush self tanner, ones hands will inevitably come into contact with the lotion. It is strongly advised that you wash the hands immediately and that the application is complete, as these lotions tend to stain the skin of the hands. Should the airbrush self tanner not come off easily, one should use exfoliating scrub, or bleach.

Many folks enjoy the idea of going to a salon for their all over airbrush self tanner application. This is a great idea and the salons offer more than one option of tanning as well. One could opt for the reliable sun bed, the air brush spray tan or the turbine system. For both spraying options, one is advised to wear a swim suit that can be designated to tanning only. This is because the tanning spray will most likely stain the swim suit.

Irrespective of how you get your airbrush self tanner, be it in a salon or at home, one thing to remember is that one should wear loose fitting clothes the day after the tanning session. This is so that there is as little rub off as possible. If you wear tight fitting clothes, you will find that the tanning products tend to rub off on to the clothes you wear.

Very believable color - without streaks or funny smell! from Glastonbury, CT Verified Purchaser
This is the best self tanner I ever used. The color looks totally natural - brown, not the orange look I've had from virtually every other tanner. The brown color guide helps a lot, so there is not streaking whatsoever. My best advice would be to keep washing your hands frequently as you apply the tanner. The first time I used it, I didn't wash my hands until the end and it took me literally ten minutes to get all the rubbed in color off my hands. I also needed to use a pumice. But the good news is my palms had no hint of color on them in the morning, so the pumice idea is actually great. Review posted 6/25/2012.

Very natural looking tan. from Toronto, ON Verified Purchaser
The tan I got was very close to my natural color of a tan. Doesn't have the usual self-tanner scent - smells like almonds. I apply it every other day to maintain the color. Stains hands a lot even if you wash them immediately after and will stain your bedding as well (but washes away without a trace on white sheets). Palms of your hands return to normal color by the afternoon the next day. One bottle lasts for approximately 2-3 weeks with every other day application on a petite body. Review posted 6/16/2012.

Very Natural Tan from Evanston, IL Verified Purchaser
I've tried many 'high end' tanning products and this lotion produces by far the most natural tan. At first I was a bit shocked at how dark the lotion was, but in applying it, the color was a plus because it made it obvious when I was putting too much on one area of skin. I've never bothered to write a review before. This product more than deserves praise. I use it all the time now, even in winter for just a light bit of color. Review posted 11/12/2012.

Very good, realistic color from a self-tanner from Ipswich, MA Verified Purchaser
The best quality of this self-tanner is that it contains a color guide that actually stains your skin (some of it washes off, but part of the color guide remains and is long lasting) and so the color guard tint adds to the DHA self-tanner color...this makes the resulting 'tan' more realistic than a DHA self-tan alone would be. Normally I avoid self-tanners with color guides as they tend to be messy, to stain clothing and look dirty, but this product's color guide actually has a purpose in that it improves the final tan color. That usually isn't the case, especially with most drugstore self-tanners. Also, this product has very little of that unattractive self-tanner scent. Lastly, because the concentration of DHA is quite high, you use less (one or two coats) to get a dark color, but you avoid being orange because of the residual stain of the color guide. The end result is a reddish brown tan color. This is pricey, but will last a long time and a worthwhile investment if you tend to turn orange with self-tanners. Good product! Smells great! from pomona, NY
I was weary of trying out this product at first...however I am glad I did. It smells AMAZING. Dries very quickly. It WILL stain your hands, but you can scrub your palms with pumice after if not wearing gloves. It's a nice even application with minimal streaking after day 2 and 3 (like most products) Review posted 7/7/2012.
